"The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple."
Psalms 19:7

The Highway to Holiness

"To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under heaven….." Ecclesiastes 3:1

Jesus sent forth these twelve and commanded them, saying, "Go not the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter into any city of the Samaritans; but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach saying ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give." Matt. 10.

Among the twelve, there is an awareness of James the Less, son of Alphaeus, who represents the Power of Spiritual Law and Order among the Apostles. James the Less, brings in an entirely new element of energy. While the preceding Powers have prepared the "Way to Holiness" and have opened the path to greater spiritual awareness, James the Less’ Power of "Spiritual Law and Order," creates a static condition of ever out flowing energy as things begin to unfold.

The first eight Apostles may be said to have prepared the ground while the last four Apostles are witness to the results of preparation. "Spiritual Law and Order" being the Power of Evolution or unfoldment, James the Less is fathered by the 'Compensation of God; exchange'; and the more composed states of preparation are succeeded by definite signs of movement, outpouring, progress, unfolding.           The following thoughts were written over thirty years ago, by Mary Mae Oesch, "A Time for Law and Order" in preparation for a Study of the "Twelve Powers," along with suggested reading: Matt. 10:1-4; Psalms 19:1-9.
Long before James the Less' time, a Psalmist was impressed with the law and order evidenced in the skies. He says that the "heavens" continually reveal the glory of God. The "handiwork" of the "firmament," the majesty of the moon, and the breathless beauty of a starlit night speak in eloquent silence.
We know that the music of the spheres is without words, yet the message is unmistakable. God's Presence is revealed in all nature, so that men thrill to the knowledge of universal law and the sustaining power of divine order.
The precision timing in the sun's rising and setting is only one evidence that "the law of the Lord is perfect." God's law is sure, dependable, and unchanging—a source of joy and peace to all who reverence it in their hearts and keep it in their lives.
Since the time when the Psalmist wrote: "The heavens are telling the glory of God," the fingerprints of scientists have become faintly visible on the map of the heavens and the footprints of astronauts have left their mark on the moon. The eyes of science have probed billions of miles into space. We know that when we look at the stars we are face-to-face with infinity!
Our increasing knowledge of the universe serves to increase our reverence for the Infinite Intelligence that created and sustains all that is or ever has been. . .  And we know that Universal Law applies on all levels of existence. The 'Unseen Hand" that guides the planets also charts the ideal course of human lives, and if we would keep "on course," we need to order our thoughts and our living in accord with Divine Law.
If we would establish order in our thinking, we need to organize our thoughts around this basic Truth: There is One Life Force; the Creative Universal Life, even God—Universal Spirit, Omnipresence, Omnipotence, and Omniscience. Our faculty of order should work closely with all the other faculties—such as Life, Love, Power, and Wisdom - toward the expression of the One Spirit.

What is the meaning of Divine Order and how does one use
the Divine Order Faculty in the healing process?

Click here for enlarged view Divine Order is knowing of the Presence of God in all things, regardless of the appearances. There is Good in all situations. When we go into the Silence to pray in faith and forgiveness, the Good will be revealed.

James the son of Alphaeus signifies the faculty of Order; the location of this faculty in the body is the navel; pit of the stomach.

Paul, the Apostle and Charles Fillmore’s Thoughts
On Spiritual Law and Divine Order

In the Book of Colossians Paul wrote to the Early Christian Church of Colossae founded in Asia Minor. Paul spoke to the Church through his letter to open their minds to the truth of the Spiritual Law and Divine Order of God’s universal world. He wrote, "For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ" (Colo. 2:5-KJV).

"Colossae was a rather insignificant town of Phrygia in Asia Minor, not far from Ephesus. Paul had sent Epaphras, a Colossian, to preach there (Colo.1.7; 4.12). Subsequently the Apostle heard the disquieting news of the activity of false teachers in the newly founded church and he wrote this letter to correct their erroneous speculations. These teachers, who claimed to possess superior knowledge of divine matters (Colo. 2:18), advocated a theosophical mixture of ascetic (Colo.2:16:20-23) and ritualistic (Colo. 2:16-18) practices, some of which had certain parallels in the Jewish sect of the Essenes (see "Survey of . . . . Bible Lands" § 15, end). Written in the early 60's while Paul was in prison (Colo. 4:3, 10,18) and at about the time as the letter to the Ephesians (with which it has many similarities; see the cross references). this letter to Colossae was dispatched by Tychicus (Colo. 4:7,8), who also carried Paul's letter to Philemon (see Introduction to Philemon).

Though the precise form of the Colossian heresy has long since passed away, Paul’s letter retains its freshness and relevance in combating other types of inadequate Christologies and sub-Christian practices which have troubled the Church from age to age." (The New Oxford Annotated Bible; pg.1428).

In the book The Revealing Word Charles Fillmore claims; "Order is the first law of the Universe. Indeed, there could be no universe unless it's various parts were kept in perfect order. The facts of Spirit are of Spiritual character and when understood in their right relation, they are orderly. Orderliness is law and is the test of true science." In his book he also reveals to the reader "that order is a Divine Idea, an idea of adjustment, and as this idea is established in man's thought, his mind and affairs will be at one with the Universal harmony." (See TSM Academy Library).

When one consciously brings forth the idea of the Power of Spiritual Law and Divine Order, immediately Divine Order idea radiates as into every other Divine Faculty and sets them to sustain activity to the end and the perfect human being shall be brought forth. The nature of God is more fully revealed and the greatness of the soul is manifested when the Divine Order Faculty is put into operation.

By affirming the idea of Divine Order in one’s mind, one is laying a firm foundation of deep and strong spiritual understanding.

You can attain and sustain this understanding through daily meditation, prayer and study in the silence.

Through daily meditation and prayer, Divine Order is established in the inner mind, bringing forth the Christ Energy from within and into the worldly expression of good health in the mind and body. What kind of ideas and thoughts that are put into the subconscious through one’s sense awareness and spiritual awareness depend on what one expresses in the conscious world, or "the world one creates." Keeping the Spiritual awareness of the Presence of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, living within one’s every thought constantly, will free a person from all bondage, both physically and mentally. Christ Spirit consciousness in all things manifests Divine Order, thus attuning the mind, soul and body to the Eternal Mind of God.

By watching one’s thoughts as they work their way through life systems, a person may become aware of some pure thoughts of spiritual life striving to become free from earthly senses. One can help these thoughts by consciously elevating that life to the open door of the mind, aligning mind and body with the Holy Spirit of God, releasing all fears and anxieties, and filling the mind with peace and understanding of God. Do not be afraid to express the inner life to the Lord, for in doing so one comes under the protection of the Divine Law and is able to express it and will grow in good health with much happiness and joy.

Paul and Charles had parallel thoughts on the Spiritual Law and Divine Order. "Christ Spirit consciousness in all things manifests Divine Order."

Affirmation for Divine Order

Divine Order is active in my mind, body
and affairs, and all things are working
together for my Good. In the Name and
through the Power of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Affirmation for the weather:

God’s Love enfolds the earth, and Divine
Order is established in the weather. In the
Name and through the Power of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
